Part 2

In Part 2, Dr. Congdon demonstrates the pattern established by three events in Israel's history that clearly point to a future prophetic Feast of Trumpets that solves the mystery of this feast's purpose. Using a systematic study of three Scripture passages, the significance of the feast reveals its major role of bringing in the start of the Tribulation. This is a vital teaching of interest to all who wonder if we are not nearing that time.

The Feast of Trumpets - Part 1

Part 1

It is said that "Israel's feasts represent the Course of Time from creation down to the final end" and that Leviticus 23 "is more doctrinally and prophetically profound and fraught with more of the weight of God's plan for history" and for individual believers. Join us as Dr. Congdon explains the seven mountain-top historical events of Israel (4 have happened and 3 are still coming) and see how these feasts teach 7 major spiritual truths in your individual life. You will also see where we are in God's prophetic plan, for the seven feasts are seven signposts of history.

The Feasts - Introduction - Session 1

An Appointment with God - The Feasts of the Lord

Leviticus 23

In the second in our series on the Feasts, Dr. Congdon will examine the first two mountain-top historical events of the nation of Israel. It is said the Passover was the cause and Unleavened Bread the effect. Emphasis will be on the significant doctrinal teaching of Unleavened Bread as it relates to the 3 phases of a believer's sanctification. An understanding of these first two signposts of prophecy is essential in order to understand the remaining 5 and in particular, why 3 remain to be fulfilled by God.

The Feasts of Passover & Unleavened Bread

In the third in our series on the Feasts, Dr. Congdon will examine the next mountain-top historical event of the nation of Israel as it entered the Promised Land. This feast is well defined both historically and doctrinally by the Scriptures (OT and New) themselves. This feast not only affects the nation of Israel but is vital to every true Believer in Jesus Christ for it not only pictures Christ's resurrection but defines our promised resurrection and glorification. As it also pictures the first of three groups to be saved in history and demonstrates the ultimate reconciliation of the Jewish and Gentile peoples that will come with Pentecost (our next feast video). An understanding of this feast is essential to one's understanding of the prophetic feasts to come.

The Feast of First Fruits

In the fourth in our series on the Feasts, Dr. Congdon will examine the next mountain-top historical event of the nation of Israel at Mt. Sinai. There, on Pentecost, Moses and the people of Israel ratified their "constitution" for the new nation. Like other feasts of the Lord, this feast not only affects the nation of Israel but is vital to every true Believer in Jesus Christ for at a later Pentecost (Acts 2), God revealed the mystery of the Church.

But the primary focus of the feast is far more than the birth of the church, for it demonstrates the ultimate reconciliation of the Jewish and Gentile peoples as Paul describes in Ephesian 2. Following the concept of First Fruits, this feast is also a feast of first fruit, the wheat harvest, and an understanding of this feast graphically enlarges our understanding of the Lord's words - "Say not ye, There are yet four months and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white [ripe] already to harvest" (John 4:35).

The Feast of Tabernacles, also called Booths, is the last of Israel's three yearly pilgrimages to Jerusalem to keep an appointment with God, according to Leviticus 23. This seventh feast dramatically pictures the pilgrimage of history that culminates in the gathering of the peoples and nations at the start of the Millennium, the 1000-year reign of Christ upon the earth. No other event in human history can be pictured by anything approaching the Feast of Tabernacles. But the Millennium is really just the end of the beginning.
